Le premier modèle de Goélette a été introduit en 1983 et plusieurs évolutions ont suivi au cours des années 1980. Il s'agit d'enceintes closes avec [[Les_haut-parleurs_à_dôme|haut-parleurs de médium et d'aigu à dôme]]. La forme moderne de la Goélette a été introduite en 1995 avec le modèle professionnel [[ENCEINTES_PROFESSIONNELLES#Go.C3.A9lette_MC_Broadcast|MC Broadcast]], destiné à prendre la relève de l'enceinte active [[Eider]] en tant que moniteur de contrôle de proximité à Radio France. Ce haut-parleur peut monter plus facilement dans le médium et l'aigu que le [[21M18]].
