Yamaha RX-V675 receiver with Cabasse Eole3 5.1 speakers

Message par libero »

Hello, I have Yamaha RX-V675 receiver with Cabasse Eole3 5.1 speakers, Iwould like to get more about clarity out of my system, also to get better surround sound & dialogue from the centre speaker, more of a cinema feeling. Also I am seeking a better balance when listening to music. Could you please advise me on how to calibrate my system at best?
Speakers are about 4metres apart, open plan lounge, used audyssey the last time to calibrate by placing the microphone head level.
The bass does not really play the way it should.
Many thanks in advance for your help. L

Hi Libero,

Your problem is usual in Home Theater installation, but it will be difficult for me to explain all the different ways to find answers and improve the quality of your system, in english.

I'm going to try to give you some advices to help you to find thoses answers on the web by yourself.

You'v got to look for three themes :

At first, look for methods to find the best place for your subwoofer in your living room. Low frequencies are the more important and the more difficult to correct. The influences of low frequencies are very important to have on the center channel clear voices at the end.

Then, look for advices to decorate your room with curtains and carpets to improve the acoustic of your room. And things to avoid in the placing of speakers.

At last, room acoustic correction as Audissey can help you but it has to be used with a minimum of knowledge and could be adjust with other calibration system available on downloads if you use a computer.

You can show us some pictures too of your installation. Maybe we'll can find some mistakes in the implementation of you system.

Bonjour libero,

Crossover...???

Bowie, n'hésite pas to translate !!

Ok !

Verify on the back side of your subwoofer that the level of the frequencies crossover is between 130 and 150 Hz. Adjust treble and bass, listen something you use to to help you to find the best balance.

Take care to put your subwoofer in front of your position of listening. Not behind and nor near from your armchair.
